Alex Goodfellow has nearly 40 years’ experience in housebuilding and timber frame manufacturing and is widely recognised as a leading voice in offsite construction. Appointed Chief Executive Officer of Donaldson Offsite in 2022, he leads the strategic growth and development of the Group’s offsite businesses.

Alex is focused on driving innovation, enhancing quality and expanding market presence while championing timber frame as a key solution to the UK’s housing and sustainability challenges.

Before joining the Donaldson Group in 2021, Alex spent over three decades with Stewart Milne Group, serving on the main Board and holding senior leadership roles including Managing Director of Stewart Milne Timber Systems and Stewart Milne Homes.

He also plays an influential role in the industry as Chair of the Confederation of Timber Industries and a Board Member and former Chair of the Structural Timber Association.

Mike is a long-standing board director of timber systems, joining the business in 2015 as part of Stewart Milne Group and then as part of Donaldson Timber Systems when Donaldson Group bought Stewart Milne Timber Systems in 2021.

Mike leads our business development team, working with major housebuilding and construction companies across the UK to increase use of timber frame. A highly regarded expert in timber frame, he has influenced and led several large-scale customer transitions to timber frame. He is passionate about people and development and was instrumental in developing a new and innovative customer learning platform, along with a team coaching programme to develop future talent. He also leads on our continuous improvement strategy, focused on customer experience.

Prior to joining us, Mike spent 14 years with Llewellyn Group and then 8 years as Director with Rok. In his spare time, Mike is an avid Chelsea supporter and loves nothing more than going to a game with his sons.

John brings over 30 years’ experience in the timber frame industry and leads all pre-construction activities, product development and technical governance. He works closely with industry partners to respond to evolving building regulations while advancing more sustainable construction methods.

A strong advocate for reducing the carbon footprint of the built environment, John is passionate about improving quality, performance and knowledge across the sector. He serves on the board of the Structural Timber Association, supporting initiatives that promote best practice and innovation.

John was a key member of the senior team behind the UK’s first Zero Carbon home and has contributed to major government and industry programmes including AIMCH and the Future Homes Hub. He also supports industry training to help drive the successful adoption of timber frame construction nationwide.

Veronica joined the Board in November 2025 as Finance Director, following three years with the Donaldson Group. Prior to this, she was Head of Financial Control, Systems and Operations at RBS, where she developed extensive experience within a FTSE 100 financial services environment.

Her expertise spans financial control, decision support and business change, enabling her to drive performance while supporting strategic growth. Known for her strong leadership and collaborative approach, Veronica excels at translating complex financial data into clear commercial insight.

She is passionate about building high-performing teams and establishing robust financial frameworks that support long-term success. Veronica’s strategic mindset, focus on delivery and ability to foster trusted relationships make her a valuable addition to the leadership team.

As Commercial Director at Donaldson Timber Systems, David is responsible for shaping and delivering the company’s commercial strategy while overseeing health and safety across the business. He brings significant experience in commercial management and operational leadership gained within the construction and manufacturing sectors.

David is focused on creating sustainable, long-term partnerships that balance quality, performance and commercial efficiency. Working closely with customers, suppliers and internal teams, he ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest safety standards.

Passionate about people, process and continuous improvement, David promotes a culture of transparency, accountability and collaboration. His leadership supports the organisation’s commitment to delivering value and maintaining its reputation for excellence in modern timber construction.

Frank O’Reilly is UK Director of Manufacturing, leading our timber frame operations across the UK and driving operational excellence across our facilities. His focus is clear: delivering high-quality product, on programme, every time.

With more than 12 years in the business and progression through senior roles including Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Manager, Factory Manager at Witney and Divisional Head of Manufacturing for England and Wales, Frank combines deep operational expertise with strong commercial awareness.

He has been instrumental in the strategic development and ongoing transformation of our Witney facility as part of our wider investment programme, modernising manufacturing capability to strengthen productivity, efficiency and future capacity.

Working in close partnership with commercial, technical and contracts teams, Frank ensures manufacturing performance directly supports customer confidence, meeting programme commitments, maintaining quality standards and reinforcing our position as a trusted partner in a highly competitive market. He is committed to continuous improvement, strong leadership and building high-performing teams that protect and enhance our reputation for delivery.
